At Headline, we are thrilled to double down on our partnership with Heidi Health for their $65M Series B funding led by Point72. When we first invested, Heidi was pioneering a new approach to medical scribing, offering doctors a smarter, faster, and more customizable way to capture clinical notes. They bet on PLG, free and global and all of those things massively paid off. Today, Heidi has evolved into something far more transformative: the AI Care Partner.
From Scribe to AI Care Partner
Since our initial investment, Heidi has made the leap from being a best-in-class AI scribe to becoming a true partner in clinical workflows. They’ve introduced major new functionality across Calls, Context, Ask Heidi, Tasks, and Coding, and much more to come which, when woven together, represent the beginning of AI orchestration in healthcare. Doctors aren’t just using Heidi to record notes anymore; they’re leaning on Heidi to speed up tasks, manage follow-up calls for patients, support research, and ultimately operate as a system of action that makes their lives meaningfully better.
Growth That Speaks for Itself
The numbers underscore just how significant this shift has been. Since their launch 18 months ago, Heidi has supported more than 73 million patient consults and now supports over two million consults weekly in 110 languages across 116 countries. Their product-led strategy has scaled across multiple dimensions:
Free to Paid: Rapid conversion proving tangible value to clinicians.
Paid to Enterprise: Expansion into enterprise contracts across major healthcare systems from user champions has been proven. In the US they are working with hospitals like Beth Israel Lahey Health, the largest network of hospitals in Massachusetts and is cited as a “transformation partner” by MaineGeneral.
Global Adoption: Active expansion beyond initial markets into new geographies, staying true to their “rest-of-world” strategy from day one.
Each of these steps reflects not just growth, but a repeatable go-to-market motion that positions Heidi as one of the fastest-scaling healthcare technology companies globally.
Why This Matters
Healthcare is facing unprecedented pressure. The World Health Organization projects a shortfall of 10 million healthcare workers by 2030. Research shows that clinicians spend nearly as much time on administration as patient care. Heidi is addressing this crisis by going beyond documentation to give time back to clinicians, reduce burnout, and improve the quality of care. In less than two years, they have already achieved scale and adoption levels that incumbents took decades to approach. Heidi has already returned more than 18 million hours back to clinicians.
Why We’re All-In, Again!
Our decision to reinvest was simple: Heidi continues to execute with precision, velocity, and vision. Their contrarian bets, prioritizing customization over clunky EHR integrations, going global from day one, and building a product-led engine out of Australia, have all paid off. And now, with AI Care Partner, they’re unlocking the next chapter of healthcare automation.
At Headline, we look for teams building generational companies that can fundamentally reshape industries. With Heidi, we see exactly that. The company is not only redefining what an AI healthcare assistant can do, but also showing the world what it means to put doctors and patients first. We couldn’t be more excited to continue this journey with them.
