We’re investing in the new standard for IT: the agentic platform Primo.
Modern companies and IT teams need an IT platform that can act. The IT department deserves its AI moment: it’s happening now.
For years, IT software has helped teams organize work that people still had to perform.
Autonomous AI agents are changing what companies should expect from that software: the ability to carry out requests, resolve issues, and keep everyday operations running, within rules set by the business.
We believe this will become the new standard for IT in the AI era. Employees will expect their needs to be handled as they arise. IT teams will expect to delegate entire processes with visibility into what agents do and control over the decisions that matter.
Primo is building for that future: the agentic platform for IT, powered by a shared understanding of the company’s people, devices, applications, and policies.
Today, Primo is announcing $8 million in Seed financing from Headline and Global Founders Capital.
Turning infrastructure into action
For companies with 50 to 2,000 employees, IT complexity quickly outgrows the team available to manage it. More applications, devices, and now AI agents mean more access decisions, more security requirements, and more work to keep everything running.
Primo connects employees, identities, devices, applications, and policies in one infrastructure graph, anchored in HR systems. This gives the platform the context to understand what needs to happen throughout an employee’s lifecycle, and the capabilities to act.
When someone changes roles, for example, the work extends across their permissions, applications, and potentially their device policies. A platform that understands those relationships can coordinate the process, apply the company’s rules, and request human approval where required.
This is what we mean by a system of action: software that takes responsibility for executing IT work, with the context, permissions, and traceability to do it reliably.
That is what AI leading scaleups Attio and Dust, or PE-backed companies such as Lumapps or Skello delegated. The IT team sets a purchase policy, and the agent runs every onboarding from it: talking to the new employee, ordering the right device, tracking the shipment, enrolling it in MDM, and creating the accesses the role requires.
That is the change we are backing: IT teams gaining the ability to delegate complete processes while retaining control over how their company operates.
A System Builder for IT
At RAISE Summit this summer, we shared our thesis on investing in AI through the AI Europe 100. One category is particularly relevant to Primo: System Builders, represented by the octopus.
These companies earn their place by solving a specific problem, then extend into more of the customer’s operations, one arm at a time. As people rely on them for more work, their products become part of how the business runs.
We see Primo through that lens. For Primo, every connected part of the platform expands what an AI agent can do.
Primo’s infrastructure graph provides the shared context for these actions. Its integrated capabilities enable execution. As the platform grows, it aims to give its autonomous IT agents responsibility for more complete processes, with people defining their scope and supervising exceptions.
This is a central part of our AI thesis: platforms embedded in a company’s operations have the context and reach to turn AI into action. We believe Primo can use that position to establish a new standard for autonomous IT.
The team has been building a product with both incredible depth and breadth to set this new standard:
Customers are already using the platform broadly and expanding fast with more than 130% net dollar retention.
Primo now serves more than 400 customers across 10 countries and is accelerating its international expansion.
Primo’s indirect distribution provides another route to scale, bringing the platform to customers through partners with established relationships.
Why we’re backing Martin, Benoit and their team
Martin Pannier is obsessed with product taste. He spent three years in San Francisco launching new products at Gusto, where he saw how much of a company’s operations hang off the employee lifecycle. He brought that back to Europe as CPO at Iziwork, scaling it to €250 million in revenue before starting Primo.
He teamed up with Benoît Bourdel, previously co-founder and CTO of Luko. He raised over $70 million and built France’s leading neo-insurer, through to its acquisition by Admiral Group.
We believe that autonomous IT will become the standard for modern companies. Teams will set policies, oversee exceptions, and decide what to delegate. AI agents will handle more of the daily work across the employee lifecycle.
Primo is building the infrastructure and execution capabilities to make that possible. We believe it can become the platform companies trust to run IT in the AI era. That is the ambition we are backing alongside Martin and the team.
